Steve Sanghi

Chair of the Board, Chief Executive Officer and President

Mr. Sanghi was appointed interim Chief Executive Officer and President in November 2024. Mr. Sanghi transitioned to Chair of the Board in August 2024, after serving as Executive Chair since March of 2021. He served as Chief Executive Officer of Microchip since October 1991, and the Chairman of the Board of Directors since October 1993. Mr. Sanghi served as President from August 1990 to February 2016 and has served as a director since August 1990.

Before joining the Company, Mr. Sanghi was Vice President of Operations at Waferscale Integration, Inc., a semiconductor company, from 1988 to 1990. Mr. Sanghi was employed by Intel Corporation from 1978 to 1988, where he held various positions in management and engineering, the most recent serving as General Manager of Programmable Memory Operations. Mr. Sanghi holds a Masters of Science degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of Massachusetts and a Bachelor of Science degree in Electronics and Communication from Punjab University, India.

Chief Operating Officer

Richard J. Simoncic joined Microchip in 1989 and became COO in April 2024. Mr. Simoncic oversees Microchip's worldwide operations and is leading the company's AI-related efforts.

He founded Microchip's internal analog business in 1998, growing it to over $2 billion in annual revenue. Mr. Simoncic previously held roles as Executive Vice President (2023), Senior Vice President (2019-2023), and Vice President (1995-2019).

Mr. Simoncic holds a B.S. in Electrical Engineering Technology from DeVry Institute of Technology.

Chief Financial Officer

Eric Bjornholt joined Microchip in 1995 and became CFO in 2009. Bjornholt also serves as Senior Vice President, a position he has held since 2019.

He previously served as Microchip's Director of Financial Reporting & Tax and Corporate Secretary from 2003 to 2009. Prior to joining Microchip, Bjornholt worked for KPMG LLP.

Mr. Bjornholt holds a B.S. in Accounting from the University of Arizona and a Master's degree in Tax from Arizona State University.

Joseph R. Krawczyk II

Senior Corporate Vice President, Worldwide Client Engagement

Joseph R. Krawczyk joined Microchip in 1995 and serves as Senior Vice President of Worldwide Client Engagement. Mr. Krawczyk has held various leadership roles within the company, including U.S. Southeast sales manager, ASEAN regional sales manager, and Vice President of Asia Pacific Client Engagement.

Prior to joining Microchip, he spent 14 years at Texas Instruments in engineering, marketing and management roles.

Mr. Krawczyk holds a B.S in Computer Technology from the University of Southern Mississippi and a Master's degree in Business Administration from St. Edward's University, Austin, Texas.

Senior Corporate Vice President, Operations

Mathew B. Bunker joined Microchip in 1993 and serves as Senior Vice President Operations. Mr. Bunker oversees the company's assembly, test, logistics, and planning teams, and co-leads Microchip's international manufacturing operations with Mr. Finley.

Mr. Bunker holds a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from Arizona State University and a Master's degree in Business Administration with an emphasis on Technology Management from the University of Phoenix.

Senior Corporate Vice President, Operations

Michael A. Finley joined Microchip in 1990 and serves as Senior Vice President of Fab Operations. Mr. Finley co-leads Microchip's international manufacturing operations, wafer foundry and OSAT management with Mr. Bunker.

Prior to joining Microchip, he worked in fab operations at Intel Corporation for 10 years.

Mr. Finley holds a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from the University of California, Berkeley.

Senior Corporate Vice President, Global Human Resources

Lauren A. Carr joined Microchip in 1995 and serves as Senior Vice President of Global Human Resources. Ms. Carr oversees global staffing, compensation, benefits and training and development at all Microchip locations worldwide.

Prior to joining Microchip, she worked in American Express' staffing division.

Ms. Carr holds a B.A. in Business Management from Arizona State University (ASU), a Master's degree in Human Resources and Organizational Development, and maintains a Professional in Human Resources (PHR) certification.

Senior Corporate Vice President, FPGA and Timing

Patrick F. Johnson joined Microchip in 2004 and serves as Senior Vice President of FPGA and Timing Solutions. Mr. Johnson oversees mixed-signal analog devices, FPGAs, timing solutions and security products.

Prior to joining Microchip, he spent 16 years at Intel Corporation.

Mr. Johnson holds a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from Kettering University.

Senior Corporate Vice President, 32-bit MCU, MPU and Wireless

Sumit K. Mitra joined Microchip in 1989 and serves as Senior Vice President of 32-bit MCU, MPU and Wireless. Mr. Mitra oversees the development and marketing of various microcontroller lines and manages the corporate CAD department, silicon design tools, and the Development Systems department.

Prior to joining Microchip, he contributed to key microcontroller designs at Intel.

Mr. Mitra holds a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology and an M.S. in Electrical Engineering from the University of California. He holds approximately 18 patents in silicon architecture and design.

Greg Robinson joined Microchip in 1995 and serves as Corporate Vice President of the 8-bit MCU business unit. Mr. Robinson has held diverse positions across multiple functions within the company, including engineering, operations, sales and marketing roles.

Mr. Robinson holds a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from Washington State University and an M.B.A. in Technology Management from the University of Phoenix.

Corporate Vice President, Automotive, Data Center and Networking

Matthias Kaestner joined Microchip through the 2016 acquisition of Atmel and serves as Corporate Vice President of Automotive APG Marketing. Mr. Kaestner leads the Automotive, Data Center and Networking business units and acts as managing director for Microchip's German entities.

Mr. Kaestner holds a combined E.E. and Management Degree from Darmstadt University of Technology in Germany and a Ph.D. in Economics from the University of St. Gallen in Switzerland.

Fanie Duvenhage joined Microchip in 1996 and serves as Corporate Vice President of MSLD. Mr. Duvenhage oversees the Analog and Discrete business units, including analog power, interface, mixed-signal, linear, silicon carbide, power over ethernet, specialty discrete products, as well as the company's corporate marketing initiatives.

Mr. Duvenhage holds an Electronic Engineering Degree from the University of Pretoria, South Africa, and both an M.B.A. and an M.S. in Design from Arizona State University.

Corporate Vice President, Licensing and Memory Products

Mark Reiten joined Microchip through the 2010 acquisition of Silicon Storage Technology and serves as Corporate Vice President of Licensing and Memory Products divisions at Microchip.

Prior to his current role, he held positions at Virage Logic, 3DLabs, and Wyse Technology.

Mr. Reiten holds a B.S. in Economics and a B.A. in Political Science from the University of Minnesota. He has over 20 granted patents related to embedded nonvolatile memory and packaging technologies.
