Steve Sanghi

Chair of the Board, Chief Executive Officer and President

Steve Sanghi was appointed Chief Executive Officer and President in July 2025, having previously served as Chief Executive Officer of Microchip from 1991 to 2021. He has served on Microchip's Board of Directors since 1990 and has held leadership roles including Chair of the Board and Executive Chair. Mr. Sanghi also served as President from 1990 to 2016.

With more than three decades of leadership experience at Microchip, Mr. Sanghi has played a significant role in the company's growth and strategic direction.

Mr. Sanghi holds a M.S. in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of Massachusetts and a B.S. in Electronics and Communication from Punjab University.

Richard J. Simoncic

Chief Operating Officer

Richard Simoncic joined Microchip in 1989 and was appointed Chief Operating Officer in April 2024. In this role, he oversees Microchip's worldwide operations and leads the company's AI-related initiatives.

Mr. Simoncic founded Microchip's internal analog business in 1998 and has held numerous leadership positions with the company.

Mr. Simoncic holds a B.S. in Electrical Engineering Technology from DeVry Institute of Technology.

J. Eric Bjornholt

Senior Corporate Vice President, Chief Financial Officer

Eric Bjornholt joined Microchip in 1995 and was appointed Chief Financial Officer in 2009. Currently, he also serves as Senior Corporate Vice President. Over his career with Microchip, Mr. Bjornholt has held a variety of finance and corporate leadership positions, including Director of Financial Reporting & Tax and Corporate Secretary.

Prior to joining Microchip, Mr. Bjornholt worked for KPMG LLP.

Mr. Bjornholt holds a B.S. in Accounting from the University of Arizona and a Master's in Tax from Arizona State University.

Joseph R. Krawczyk II

Senior Corporate Vice President, Worldwide Client Engagement

Joseph Krawczyk joined Microchip in 1995 and serves as Senior Corporate Vice President, Worldwide Client Engagement. During his tenure with the company, he has held a variety of leadership positions across Microchip's global sales organization.

Prior to joining Microchip, Mr. Krawczyk spent 14 years with Texas Instruments in engineering, marketing and management roles.

Mr. Krawczyk holds a B.S. in Computer Technology from the University of Southern Mississippi and an M.B.A. in Business from St. Edward's University.

Mathew B. Bunker

Senior Corporate Vice President, Operations

Mathew Bunker joined Microchip in 1993 and serves as Senior Corporate Vice President, Operations. In this role, he oversees the company's assembly, test, logistics and planning organizations and leads Microchip's global manufacturing operations.

Mr. Bunker has played a key leadership role in supporting the company's worldwide operations and manufacturing growth.

Mr. Bunker holds a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from Arizona State University and an M.B.A. in Technology Management from the University of Phoenix.

Lauren A. Carr

Senior Corporate Vice President, Global Human Resources

Lauren Carr joined Microchip in 1995 and serves as Senior Corporate Vice President, Global Human Resources. She leads the company's worldwide human resources organization, with responsibility for global talent acquisition, compensation and benefits, training and development and other initiatives that support Microchip's employees around the world.

Ms. Carr holds a B.A. in Business Management from Arizona State University and a Master's in Human Resources and Organizational Development. She also maintains a Professional in Human Resources (PHR) certification.

Patrick Johnson

Senior Corporate Vice President, FPGA and Timing Business Units

Patrick Johnson joined Microchip in 2004 and serves as Senior Corporate Vice President, FPGA and Timing Business Units. In this role, he oversees a broad portfolio of products, including mixed-signal analog devices, FPGAs, timing solutions and security products.

Prior to joining Microchip, Mr. Johnson spent 16 years at Intel Corporation, where he held a variety of technical and leadership positions.

Mr. Johnson holds a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from Kettering University.

Greg Robinson

Corporate Vice President, MCU, WSG and Dev Tools

Greg Robinson joined Microchip in 1995 and serves as Corporate Vice President, MCU, WSG and Dev Tools. During his tenure with the company, he has held leadership positions across multiple functions, including engineering, operations, sales and marketing, giving him broad experience across Microchip's business and product portfolio.

Mr. Robinson holds a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from Washington State University and an M.B.A. in Technology Management from the University of Phoenix.

Matthias Kaestner

Corporate Vice President, Automotive, Data Center and Networking Business Units

Matthias Kaestner joined Microchip through the acquisition of Atmel in 2016 and serves as Corporate Vice President, Automotive, Data Center and Networking Business Units, and as Managing Director of the company's German entities.

Mr. Kaestner brings experience in technology, business leadership and international operations.

Mr. Kaestner holds a combined E.E. and Management degree from Darmstadt University of Technology in Germany and a Ph.D. in Economics from the University of St. Gallen in Switzerland.

Rodney Schroeder

Corporate Vice President, Fab Operations

Rodney Schroeder joined Microchip in 1995 and serves as Corporate Vice President, Fab Operations. In this role, he leads Microchip's international wafer manufacturing operations and wafer foundry management.

Mr. Schroeder holds a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from the University of Cincinnati.

Fanie Duvenhage

Senior Corporate Vice President, Analog Business Units

Fanie Duvenhage joined Microchip in 1996 and serves as Senior Corporate Vice President, Analog Business Units. In this role, he oversees a broad portfolio of products and leads the company's corporate marketing initiatives.

Mr. Duvenhage has helped drive the development and growth of key analog and embedded control technologies that serve a wide range of customer applications and end markets.

Mr. Duvenhage holds a degree in E.E. from the University of Pretoria, South Africa, and both an M.B.A. and an M.S. in Design from Arizona State University.

Mark Reiten

Senior Corporate Vice President, Licensing, Memory Products and Edge AI Business Units

Mark Reiten joined Microchip through the acquisition of Silicon Storage Technology in 2010 and serves as Senior Corporate Vice President, Licensing, Memory Products and Edge AI Business Units. In this role, he leads Microchip's licensing, memory products, and Edge AI businesses, helping drive innovation across a range of embedded technologies and solutions.

Prior to his current role, Mr. Reiten held leadership positions with Virage Logic, 3Dlabs, and Wyse Technology, bringing extensive experience in semiconductor technology and product development.

Mr. Reiten holds a B.S. in Economics and a B.A. in Political Science from the University of Minnesota. He is also the inventor and/or co-inventor of multiple patents related to embedded nonvolatile memory and packaging technologies.
