Microchip Technology Again Selected as One of Phoenix Business Journal's "Best Places to Work"
CHANDLER, Ariz.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Microchip Technology Inc. (NASDAQ:MCHP), a leading provider of microcontroller and analog semiconductors, today announced it has again been selected as one of the Phoenix Business Journal's "Best Places to Work in the Valley." For the second year in a row, the award places Microchip among the top-30 large companies (250+ employees) to work for in Arizona because of the way it creates an engaged and supportive workforce.
Established in 2003, the "Best Places to Work" list recognizes Valley companies that, through a third-party administered employee survey, are ranked as being the best places to work. The areas surveyed include various aspects of employee life, such as workplace environment, leadership direction, culture and management practices.
"The fact that Microchip has again won this award speaks to the success of our corporate culture," said Lauren Carr, vice president of Human Resources for Microchip. "We attribute employees' satisfaction to the opportunities for training that we provide, as well as the pride and ownership they have for their jobs. The result is productive employees who take ownership of their jobs and are in control of their professional lives."
"Employees are our greatest strength," said Steve Sanghi, Microchip's president and CEO. "Microchip fosters an open, communicative environment with career opportunities that promote teamwork, integrity and pride in work. We also provide numerous opportunities for continuous learning through our Employee Development department. As a result, Microchip employees wear their badges IN their hearts, rather than ON their hearts."
Winners were announced at the "Best Places to Work" Luncheon, December 11 at the Arizona Biltmore. For further information, please visit Microchip's Web site at www.microchip.com/hr.
