Arizona Semiconductor Microcontroller Company Recognized Second Year in a Row for Its Employee, Customer and Community Ratings; Award Recognizes Contributions and Impact

CHANDLER, Ariz.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Microchip Technology Inc. (NASDAQ: MCHP), a leading provider of microcontroller, analog and Flash-IP solutions, today announced it was selected as one of “Arizona’s Most Admired Companies” for 2012 by AZ Business Magazine and Best Companies AZ for the second year in a row. The award recognizes the contributions and impact that Arizona’s top companies bring to the state. Microchip earned the award based on its excellence in four categories—workplace culture, leadership excellence, corporate and social responsibility, and customer opinion. A selection committee comprised of business leaders and subject-matter experts in the four categories determined the winners. The award is based on employee, customer and community ratings, which are areas in which Microchip has consistently ranked strongly.
